Description
There seems to be general agreement on the mailing list that this particular interface is not used, and that if we're going to add a REST API we should drop XMLRPC. Sounds fine to me.
I'll leave this ticket open for a while, in case there's disagreement.

Sadly, this change broke a cool Redmine plugin. Where should one begin in making code that used the XMLRPC interface compatible again?

Hum, when you removed the XMLRPC support, is the REST API useable now? Didn't know about this ticket. :o

Is there any doc about this? Cannot find anything related to JSON besides the note what module to load.

Look at /json/help for online help - the only mention in the docs right now is in the WebStatus? section.

@dabrahams: I made redmine buildbot plugin for json-fashioned buildbot. I hope it helps you. https://github.com/interruptz/redmine-buildbot

@interruptz: Well, my plugin (redmine-buildbot) is still maintained, I am just waiting for a proper json interface. You never contacted me before, so I am kind of surprised about your readme on github.

@unexist: Oh, sorry for my rudeness :(
I meant no offence. I modified your plugin for personal use.
but I saw someone in trouble because of this issue, and I suddenly thought json version of your plugin will be good for everyone.
I'm kinda newbie! please let me know when your plugin will support json-style buildbot!
