We have a donated irc log, as indicated in the channel topic, but we should probably host our own.

Tried to install it, unfortunately there's a unresolved dependency.
Contacted authors (as otherwise it looks really nice).

- Owner set to sa2ajj
- Status changed from new to accepted
The suggestion was to remove ad related tags (there was a slight mess up with the code).
The test version is available at [a strange url]: http://www-new.buildbot.net/
The next steps will be:
- prepare pgsql.int host (#3068)
- decide whether we need a common redis
- prepare a play to glue them together

The URL is http://140.211.10.239/

More things to fix/document:
- kudos mechanism
- GitHub URLs (maybe other) are screwed because of colour handling
comment:8 Changed 6 years ago by sa2ajj
(The test version is not available any more.)

I think we can do this with supybot -- #3282

On the latest meeting we decided to try to switch to https://botbot.me/ if they will be able to import our old logs.
I will contact them regarding logs import.

Another open question is how to export history from irclogs.jackgrigg.com ? I wrote an e-mail to Jack Grigg about it.

Jack Grigg (author and maintainer of irclogs.jackgrigg.com) replied that he would be happy to help with records export, and
The backend for my logger is SQL, so I could provide a dump from the main table of all log lines from your channel.

So the next steps are:
- check what botbot.me accepts (if at all) for import
- prepare the data
- try it out
- declare the cut-date
- do the thing
@rustky, thank you for taking over it.

botbot.me guys haven't responded in a week on a letter sent to beep at botbot.me, I opened issue on the bug tracker: https://github.com/BotBotMe/botbot-bot/issues/44

irclogs.jackgrigg.com is down for some time and we decided at the last meeting to start to user BotBot?.me immediately.
I filled application form at https://botbot.me/request/, but it said that request for #buildbot channel already in the processing queue.
Also Jack Grigg replied regarding irclogs.jackgrigg.com status that this is temporary issue and he will fix it later during this week.

Looks like @sa2ajj already asked in January 2015 about importing logs on BotBotMe bug tracker: https://github.com/BotBotMe/botbot-web/issues/121

Per discussion today, maybe switching to hosted botbot.me isn't a good idea -- they aren't very responsive!
We could consider hosting botbot locally, but that would be a much bigger investment of time.
Jack's site is still down :(

BotBot.me guys still not responded (not direct e-mail, nor request for adding #buildbot channel).
irclogs.jackgrigg.com is up and logging.
I haven't found similar hosted solution to BotBot.me (modern, maintained, etc), and we don't have spare hands for maintaining our own instance of BotBot.me, so let's close this issue for now.
